Funky Monkey — Rhyme Kids Returns to Scimparello Magazine

Rhyme Kids in Scimparello Magazine Funky Monkey editorial — luxury hand-embroidered children's fashion

If It Was All a Dream was whisper-soft and ethereal, Funky Monkey is its joyful, technicolour opposite. And Rhyme Kids was there for both.

Photographed by Valérie Mathilde and styled by Karen Lebrati for Scimparello Magazine, Funky Monkey is a celebration of childhood at full volume. A deep blue backdrop. Colourful slinkies wrapped around arms and legs. Paper boats balanced on heads. Inflatable animals. The kind of pure, unfiltered play that children understand instinctively and adults spend their lives trying to remember.

The Editorial

Shot in a clean studio with a bold blue backdrop, the editorial follows a single model — Naïle, represented by DMG Paris — through a series of increasingly joyful scenes. Scimparello editor Petra Barkhof chose the concept deliberately: she wanted to capture the contrast between a strong, minimal space and the explosion of colour and imagination that children bring to it.

A Rhyme Kids dress appears in the editorial, worn with Collégien socks and Zara Kids sneakers — the kind of styling that shows how a Rhyme piece can anchor even the most playful, expressive looks without losing its own identity.

The Company We Keep

In Funky Monkey, Rhyme Kids appears alongside Kenzo Kids, Véja, Jelly Mallow, Bébé Organic, and The Little Poets — a selection of some of the most respected names in contemporary European children's fashion.

Two Sides of the Same Brand

What Rhyme Kids' back-to-back Scimparello features demonstrate is something important: this is not a brand with a single register. It Was All a Dream showed what Rhyme looks like in a world of poetry and soft light. Funky Monkey shows what it looks like in a world of pure joy and bold colour.

In both worlds, Rhyme Kids belongs.
