Our Founder Rupamani

Rupamani Konijeti is the founder and creative force behind Rhyme, shaping a distinctive world of children’s clothing through colour, storytelling and extraordinary hand craftsmanship. Her approach begins with imagination. Each collection is built around a mood, a memory or a sense of place, then translated into expressive silhouettes, intricate embroidery and unexpected details that invite a closer look.

Working closely with the artisans in Rhyme’s own atelier in India, Rupamani is involved in the evolution of every piece, from the first idea through to its final embroidery and finish. The relationship between design and craft is central to her work, allowing traditional techniques to be interpreted with a contemporary, playful sensibility.

Her vision for Rhyme is one of modern children’s couture that feels joyful rather than precious, beautifully made yet full of personality. Clothes designed not simply to be worn, but to become part of the stories children carry with them. Rupamani creates for childhood as she sees it: imaginative, expressive and impossible to forget.
